Gold Coast’s brand new CEO has resigned from the role, not even a month after taking it up.
David Edwards was elected into the role, following Dale Dickson who served for 18 years.
But just three weeks into the gig, he’s announced his resignation, citing health reasons.

A council spokesperson has confirmed that Councillors will review their initial pool of applications for the role in a special council meeting next Wednesday.
There were five people in consideration for the position, which now doesn’t include Mr Edwards and likely won’t include his predecessor Dale Dickson.
Councillors were made aware of the resignation via email last night.
While the Mayor’s only released the following response to the news: “In respect to council I won’t be commenting until after next Wednesday’s special meeting.”
