The Federal Government has decided on the panel which will choose how the schools funding package is divided.
Seven educators and policy experts will be led by David Gonski and will aim to decide which schools are most in-need and allocate funding accordingly.
The panel of experts come from wide-ranging backgrounds and Gonski said the diversity of the members will be crucial in putting schools on better paths for success.

The Australian reports the panel includes the principal of Broadbeach State School, Michael Roberts.
“I believe the panel has an excellent balance of skills and backgrounds to work on quality reforms,” Gonski said.
The panel will have nine months to deliberate, with their report to Malcolm Turnbull and Senator Birmingham expected by March next year to precede negotiations of new school reform agreements with the states and territories.
