A new music festival in Coolangatta is set to bring a full roster of stars to the Gold Coast at the end of the year.
Travis Scott has been confirmed as the headline act for ‘Sand Tunes’, a two-day festival on the Coolangatta foreshore on November 30 and December 1.
Other major acts announced already include Logic, Carly Rae Jepson and Dean Lewis.

Tourism Minister Kate Jones confirmed the festival this morning, in what will be another huge event for three years on the Gold Coast.
The 2019 event alone is expected to inject $11 million for the local economy.

“We expect that over the two days of the festival that more than 50,000 will have visitor nights here on the Gold Coast.
“But more than 35,000 will attend each day.
“We know that Coolangatta is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
“But now the most beautiful beach will be delivering and showcasing some if the most well known stars in the world,” Minister Jones said.
Mayor Tom Tate says it’s all just quintessential Gold Coast.
“What a wonderful news, another major event for our city,” Mayor Tate said.
“On this beach we’ve had opera on the beach and now hip hop.
“Opera to hip hop, right on the beach, we’ve got it all!”
