New police for Coomera, Nerang, Southport, and Broadbeach
SEVENTY-SIX new police officers have graduated from the Queensland Police Academy in Brisbane.
Of the 76, seven will spend their first year on the job patrolling the streets of the Gold Coast.
Three of the First Year Constables will take up positions at Coomera, two will be stationed at Nerang while Broadbeach and Southport stations will each welcome one new recruit.
After completing 25 weeks of grueling training, the officers were sworn into the service on Thursday.
The remaining graduates will be deployed to Brisbane, and the Central, Northern and Southern regions.
