The new area will have a mediterranean vibe, just like the rest of Wildernis, and will be accessible via a secret laneway.
Wildernis owners and Palmy-based tradies, Josh Bailey and Andy Canfield, said it is a dream come true to be able to operate their first hospitality venture in the suburb they grew up in.
“All our friends and family are still local, and with this in mind, we have created Wildernis to be a place that will become a landmark for our community, serving locally produced fare with a laidback and chilled vibe that suits the beachside culture,” Mr Bailey said. “It has also been important for us to work hands-on in bringing the café and bar and now the rooftop to life, so that we can continue our personal connection to the local people of Palm Beach.”
Wildernis Café and Bar will remain open while the expansion is underway. They are open Monday to Wednesday from 6am to 3pm, and Thursday to Sunday from 6am till late, at 1166 Gold Coast Highway, Palm Beach. The new rooftop bar is due to open to the public on April 22.
