Newly appointed Titans coach Garth Brennan is excited by the prospect of coaching Jarryd Hayne and believes the former fullback will shine for the Gold Coast next season.
Hayne’s stocks as a footballer fell dramatically after poor performances on-field and his role in the dismissal of Neil Henry during the 2017 season.
However, Brennan believes Hayne will be able to get back to his match-winning best next year.

“We saw when he came back (in 2016) he was a superstar again, he was winning games for the Titans and steering them into finals,” Brennan told Big Sports Breakfast.
“Last season (the Titans) had some injuries and at the end of the day, it’s a team sport… Jarryd isn’t out there by himself.
“I think it’s a bit unfair to lump what happened last year on Jarryd.”
Another Titan who bore the weight of last season’s results was Ash Taylor.
Taylor had a breakthrough year in 2016 and struggled to replicate this form in 2017.
He’s off contract at the end of the 2018 season, but Brennan expects him to re-sign with the club “over the next few days”.
The Titans will start their pre-season training in November.
