Nick Kyrgious blasts World No. 1 for hotel quarantine demands

Aussie tennis bad boy Nick Kyrgios has lashed out at the World Number One, calling him a ‘tool’ on social media.

It comes after Novak Djokovic made a list of demands to Australian Open organisers, to help players now stuck in hotel quarantine.

The requests include wanting fitness and training material to be put in all hotel rooms, and for players to be moved to private houses with a tennis court so they can train.

Yesterday, the Victorian Premier shut down all of those requests, plainly stating that players were warned this would happen if someone tested positive on the arriving flights.

“The notion that there’s been any change, the notion that people weren’t briefed – I think that that argument really has no integrity whatsoever, and don’t just take my word for it. “You’ve got other players who, I think on social media and in other forums, have made it clear that they were clear on the rules. And I probably can’t be any plainer than that.”

But Nick Kyrgios has taken the shut down one step further, posting to Twitter ‘Djokovic is a ‘tool’.

He also had a dig at Bernard Tomic’s partner, Vanessa Sierra, for her report of the pair’s quarantine experience.

She expressed concerns that the food isn’t up to the pair’s vegan standards, and their Uber eats orders sometimes aren’t delivered.

They’ve also been playing video games most of the time.
