Nine people hospitalised in four separate Gold Coast crashes

Nine people, including a child, have had to be hospitalised as a result of separate incidents across the Gold Coast overnight.

Paramedics were first called to a single-vehicle crash in Oxenford just after 6.30 pm.

A woman and a child sustained minor injuries in the crash, which happened on Tamborine Oxenford Road and Maudsland Road.


They were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

A short time later, crews were called to Ormeau following reports that a person had been hit by a car.

It happened along Pincally Crescent around 7.15 pm. One person was hospitalised in a stable condition with a foot injury.

In the early hours of this morning, another person was hospitalised with a chest injury following a single-car crash along Broadwater Avenue in Hope Island.

Around 4.15 am paramedics rushed to a crash in Coolangatta where five people have been injured.

It’s understood the car crashed into a tree on Musgrave Street. One of the occupants sustained abdominal and back pain.

All were taken to Tweed Hospital in stable conditions.

Lucky it wasn’t china virus incidents as they would close the roads.

Time to start and retest those drivers who cause incidents on our roads.
A fine and a couple of points do nothing for driver safety on our roads.
