No new COVID-19 cases ahead of decision on restrictions

Queensland has enjoyed another day with no new coronavirus cases as the State Government prepares to further ease restrictions.

The total number of cases across the State stand at 1067.

There are still just two active cases in Queensland, one of those on the Gold Coast where a man remains in hospital

Queensland has now carried out more than 360,000 tests since the beginning of the outbreak.

The Premier will tomorrow make her much-anticipated announcement on the State’s borders as well as the likely easing of more restrictions.

The reopening of the borders on July 10 has been thrown into doubt following a big spike in cases in Victoria.

The Chief Health Officer has been considering the new two-square metre rule for small venues that was agreed to at national cabinet on Friday.
