The Gold Coast only has 15 cases that are still active across the whole city with 177 others now virus-free.

Of the current cases, 11 patients are in hospital with six in intensive care and four of those on ventilators.

Today’s results continue Queensland’s run of very low numbers of new cases.

There has been just four new positive tests since Monday and only eight in the last seven days

“That number would have been hard to believe just a few weeks ago  when we were recording upwards of 50, 60, 70 cases each and every single day,” Health Minister Steven Miles said.

Queensland Health has now tested 108,137 people since the beginning of the outbreak.

A total of 3187 were carried out in the last 24 hours.
