No new Queensland cases, nine still considered active

Queensland has once again recorded no new cases of coronavirus overnight.

It leaves our state total at 1,091, with just nine cases still considered active around the state.

Four of those are on the Gold Coast.

Another 3,299 tests were also conducted within the last 24 hours, a slight dip on recent figures.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says it’s all great news.

“Well done Queensland, this is the collective effort of every single Queenslander doing the right thing.

“So I want to thank Queenslanders for their extraordinary work that they’ve been doing, especially in keeping those number right down,” the Premier said.

Not as good news for Victoria, with another 16 deaths reported there overnight.
