Despite all mentally planning what we would do with the money, no one claimed last night’s $60 million Powerball, which means the jackpot has now soared to an eye-watering $80 million.
The Lott confirmed late last night that there were no tickets holding the lucky numbers, prompting the jackpot to continue to soar higher for yet another week.
It means next Thursday’s mammoth $80 million Powerball draw is the equal biggest Australian lottery jackpot offered so far this year!

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said the jackpot was also the fourth biggest prize the game had ever offered.
“The last time Powerball soared to these heights was in April when two winners each took home $40 million,” he said.
“If one player takes home the entire $80 million prize next week, they will not only be the biggest Australian lottery winner so far this year, but they will also hold the title of the third biggest lottery winner in Australian history.”
Despite no one taking home the big bucks last night, there were a total of 1,852,570 wins worth more than $32.9 million won in divisions two to nine.
However, everyone’s attention now turns to next week – where it’s expected up to one-in-four Aussie adults will purchase an entry into the $80 million draw.
