A clinical nurse co-ordinator for a number of General Practices on the Gold Coast has won 1029 Hot Tomato’s Gold Coast Nursing Award for October.
Noelene Steinmann has been a nurse for almost 40 years, and worked across a number of areas before moving into the GP clinic circle in 2002.
“It’s very satisfying work, and I love helping patients achieve a good outcome,” she told myGC. “Working in a GP clinic, you do build up a close rapport with the regular patients and it’s wonderful to be able to look after them.”

As a clinical nurse co-ordinator, Noelene manages a number of nurses which she thoroughly enjoys.
“I love the interaction with my team and am fortunate to be able to work alongside many great people.”
Along with a certificate, Noelene wins $250 and is now a finalist in the Annual Awards where she could be awarded the annual winner’s cash prize of $5,000.
“I am very shocked to win. Thank you so much!”
