Some of the incredible unsung heroes in our community are set to be recognised at the 2021 Gold Coast Volunteer Awards.
Volunteering Gold Coast are calling for nominations from the public for all award categories, including Volunteer of the Year, Youth Volunteer of the Year, Community Organisation of the Year, Community Project of the Year, Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year and the Corporate Social Responsibility Award.
Volunteering Gold Coast General Manager, Nicole Smith, said there has been a notable shift in fundraising, giving, and volunteering, with traditional means of charity work changing and new platforms creating different lanes for collaboration.

“I do think more people have been in a position to give back in various ways than ever before. We are extremely excited to be able to showcase these incredible people and organisations,” she said.
“If you work for a business with an amazing Corporate Social Responsibility, we want to hear about it. If you have a wonderful story of a volunteer, now is the opportunity to give them due recognition.”
The awards are set to be announced at a Gala Dinner on Saturday 4 December at HOTA.
