North Korea keeps world on edge with more weapons tests
Trigger happy North Korea has test-fired a ballistic missile, but authorities say it appears to have failed.
The missile was launched from a region north of capital Pyongyang, in what appears to be a clear defiance of pressure from the US and China.
It’s believed the missile blew up just seconds into flight and did not leave North Korean territory.
The test follows an appearance by US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson at a meeting of the UN Security Council, during which he warned that a failure to curb North Korea’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs could lead to “catastrophic consequences”.
