Northern Gold Coast seat still too close to call after election

Six Australian seats are still undecided after we voted on the weekend.

Those too close to call include the northern Gold Coast seat of Forde, which takes in Upper Coomera and Wongawallen.

Labor currently leads the count there, with candidate Des Hardman looking set to replace the LNP’S MP Bert Van Manen.

Hardman leads Van Manen 50.1 per cent to 49.89 per cent.

Taking into account pre-poll votes the Coalition had 72 seats in the 150-seat lower house, Labor 67, the Greens one and independents four.

Counting is not due to resume until tomorrow.
