Anger has erupted on social media with broken hearted chip fans disappointed at changes made to their favourite chips.
Pringles has posted an FAQ on their website and also addressed hundreds of comments from upset customers on their official Facebook page.
“Purchased a new container of Pringles today…OMG what have you done to the beloved Pringle???? The flavour is not the same, the ‘crunch’ of the chip is not the same, the amount of seasoning on the chip is not the same, the size of the chip is way smaller as is the container…” one user wrote.

“Very unhappy teenage son. Can’t fit his hand in the chip container, chips too small, doesn’t like the flavour. Doesn’t normally care about these things but has asked me to complain on his behalf. NOT HAPPY” wrote another.
In the FAQ posted on their website, Pringles explained that they have moved production of the chips to Malaysia to keep up with Pringles demand, which is why they may taste and look a little different.
“The equipment we use in our new home in Malaysia is a bit different to our sister factory in the US – this means that the way we make Pringles and the size of the packaging has changed. You’ll notice that both the chip and can are a little bit smaller than the US versions to fit in with the production facility,” the statement reads.
“We have added some extra potato to the recipe – Some people have let us know that the flavour isn’t quite the same as it used to be, so we have the crack team of Mr P chefs working to perfect the flavours as we settle into our new home!”
