A Queensland and Cronulla Sharks sensation is set to follow in the steps of Jarryd Hayne and try and make a name for himself in the NFL.
The Daily Telegraph reports Valentine Holmes has told the Sharks he’s quitting the club and wants to pursue opportunities in the United States.
The fullback has reportedly spent time at a major NFL franchise during a recent trip to America.

Cronulla coach Shane Flanagan told The Daily Telegraph he’s unaware of Holmes’ attempted move but the Queenslander is expected to meet with Sharks executives on Wednesday.
Holmes was expected to see out his contract in Sydney before linking up with the North Queensland Cowboys in 2020.
