POLICE have confirmed a number of bones found during a search for a missing father in bushland north-west of Sydney are human.
Quinn Martin mysteriously disappeared from a farm in the Colo Heights area in December 2012.
Police recently mobilised a search for Mr Martin and on Wednesday morning search teams located bones in bushland off Putty Road.

Forensic testing has since confirmed that the bones are human, but further testing is required to determine gender, and identity.
These tests are expected to take a number of weeks.
A crime scene was established and a further search took place yesterday, consisting of local police, the Blue Mountains Search & Rescue, Strike Force Vowel investigators, the Forensic Services Group,, SES, RFS and Volunteer Rescue Association.
Investigators are hopeful that further forensic testing of the remains will provide fresh leads into the case.
