Dylan Walker has now been elevated to the starting side to replace the Canterbury player. Jack Bird has been named on the bench to make his Origin debut.

Wednesday night’s game at Suncorp Stadium is a must-win clash for NSW, after the Maroons claimed victory in the opener in Sydney two weeks ago.

Things aren’t all rosy in the Queensland camp either, with four players suffering from a stomach bug.

It’s believed Jacob Lillyman was too sick to leave his Sanctuary Cove hotel room on Friday.

While Matt Scott, Corey Oates and Aidan Guerra left training early after only completing some of the drills.
