NSW civilian police employee charged with drink-driving

An off-duty civilian employee of the NSW Police Force has been charged with drink-driving.

The 33-year-old man was arrested after being stopped for a random breath test on Regent Street at Redfern, about 3pm on Sunday 15 October.

After a positive reading, the man was taken to Redfern Police Station, where a breath-analysis test returned an alleged reading of 0.054.

The man was issued with a future court attendance notice for the offence of driving with a low-range prescribed concentration of alcohol.

He is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Monday 27 November.

Police said the man works at a Specialist Command.
