A MAN who assaulted two NSW Corrective Services officers before fleeing a Sydney court has finally been arrested.
Ali Chahine was answering bail breach allegations at Downing Centre District Court on Wednesday afternoon when he leapt from the dock, assaulted two officers and jumped on a bus barefoot, police say.
His escape prompted a full-scale man hunt across Sydney.

The 33-year-old was found by Redfern Police at a home unit in Alexandria at 7.00 (AEDT) on Monday after receiving a tip–off that he was inside.
They forced their way into the unit after he allegedly refused to surrender.
Chahine was arrested and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital, where he is being treated for a pre-existing condition.
Police expect him to be released into custody later today.
