NSW escapees found in Goondiwindi

Three prisoners, who escaped from a correctional facility near Brewarrina, have been arrested in Queensland.

Two 20-year-olds and a 22-year-old – allegedly escaped from the minimum security centre south of Brewarrina, about 2.40am on Saturday.

Following a wide search, about 11pm on Sunday Queensland Police were on patrol in Goondiwindi, when they saw the men.

They were arrested without incident later taken to the Warwick Watchhouse.

They will be extradited to New South Wales where charges will be laid.
