NSW: Injured man found lying in middle of busy intersection

POLICE are appealing for public assistance following the serious assault of a man in Sydney’s south-west overnight.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Noble Avenue and Greenacre Road at Greenacre shortly after 9pm after a 33-year-old man was lying on the road, covered in blood.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to St George Hospital for treatment to facial injuries, including a broken nose, swelling, and abrasions.

The exact circumstances of the incident remain unclear, as the victim refuses to speak with detectives.

Police believe a motor vehicle may have been involved.
