A 50-YEAR-OLD man will face court today, charged with holding a 13-year-old girl hostage inside his house in Sydney’s south-west and indecently assaulting her on several occasions.
Earlier this month, detectives from State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad commenced an investigation after receiving reports the teenage girl had been indecently assaulted.
Following extensive investigations, a 50-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning after attending Green Valley Police Station.

Police will allege in court the man detained and indecently assaulted the 13-year-old girl on numerous occasions when she was visiting his home between January 2015 and February 2016.
Following the man’s arrest, detectives executed a search warrant at his home at West Hoxton.
During a search of the property, officers allegedly seized a number of registered firearms, ammunition, a machete and a sling shot.
A number of mobile phones, a computer and an electronic storage device were also seized from the house.
The 50-year-old man has since been charged with nine counts of aggravated indecent assault, two counts of take and detain for advantage, assault, commit act of indecency, procure child, possess weapon without permit, not keep weapon safe, and handle explosive without licence.
He was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today.
