NSW man in critical condition after fight with neighbour

A man has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after being hit over the head with a wooden post during a horrifying neighborhood dispute.

Early Saturday morning, two men became involved in a fist fight at Orchard Grove Drive in Orange following an ongoing dispute.

Not long after, one of the men, aged 62, was driving out of his driveway when the other man allegedly began bashing his car with a wooden post.

The man got out of his vehicle and was struck across the head with the post, falling instantly to the ground.

He was airlifted to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition, police say.

The other man, aged 47, was arrested and has since been charged with cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent and reckless grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear at Orange Bail Court today.
