NSW: Man fights for life in hospital after being cut from crash wreck

A MAN has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being cut from the wreckage of a head-on crash in Sydney’s west.

The man was driving a Toyota Camry which collided head-on with a Toyota Hilux on Reservoir Road at Prospect just before 5.30am on Thursday.

Police said the two vehicles then collided with an Audi sedan.

The driver of the Camry sustained life-threatening injuries and was trapped in his vehicle for sometime before being cut free by emergency services.

He was rushed by ambulance to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The man behind the wheel of the Hilux was taken to Blacktown Hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol testing. The driver of the Audi was uninjured.

The Metropolitan Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
