NSW: Man injured as pub patrons put up a fight in terrifying armed hold up
ONE person has been injured in a terrifying armed hold up at a pub in Sydney’s west.
Two masked men stormed the Kildare Road building at Blacktown around 11pm on Saturday.
Armed with a hammer and a knife, the pair threatened staff and forced them to empty the till.
A number of patrons in the bar stepped in and tried in vain to stop the offenders from leaving.
A 36-year-old man sustained a cut to his hand after grabbing the knife’s blade while disarming the offender.
The two robbers, one of whom was wearing a green mask and dark hoodie and the other a white hoodie and dark mask, dropped the weapons and fled the scene.
Police are still searching for the pair and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
