NSW man killed in motorbike crash despite desperate attempts to save him

A 22-year-old man has been killed in a motorcycle crash on the NSW Central Coast.

Around 8.00pm yesterday, the motorcyclist was travelling north on Gavenlock Road at Tuggerah, when police say he hit a roundabout near the intersection of Johnson Road.

The man, from Mardi in NSW, was thrown from his bike.

Police and paramedics worked desperately at the scene to save the man before rushing him to John Hunter Hospital where he later died.

Inquiries are continuing.
