NSW: Man stabbed in head during elevator tiff
A MAN has been charged with stabbing another man in the head during a fight inside an elevator at Surry Hills on Thursday morning.
Police say the two men, aged 31 and 43, became involved in an argument while in a lift of a Belvoir Street unit block just before 1.30am.
It’s alleged the argument escalated into a fight, during which the younger man allegedly stabbed the older man in the head before fleeing.
The injured man was rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Detectives established a crime scene and, following investigations, last night arrested a 31-year-old Concord man at Burwood Police Station.
He was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
