NSW: Police appeal following aggravated break-in

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a frightening aggravated break-in at a home in Kingsford on Saturday morning.

About 11.30am, police say a 21-year-old woman was in the bedroom of her home on Middle Street, when an unknown man, who had his face covered with a red handkerchief, opened the bedroom door.

The man threatened the woman and demanded cash she complied and handed over cash.

The woman then yelled at the man, who left. She called her friends who attended the home and then called police.

Officers from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command arrived and commenced an investigation.

The woman was not injured during the incident.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers.

Investigators would like to speak to any witnesses or anyone that has information that may assist with their inquiries.

The man was described as being of Caucasian appearance, tall, of thin build, aged about 18 and was wearing a white/grey grey jacket with a hood.
