NSW Police find 256 cannabis plants growing in rental home
POLICE have destroyed more than 250 cannabis plants found during a raid on a rental property in Sydney’s Inner West.
Acting on a tip-off from the public, officers executed a search warrant at the rental home on Kanoona Avenue in Homebush on Friday.
During a search of the property, police allegedly uncovered 256 cannabis plants worth an estimated $700,000 growing in a sophisticated hydroponic set-up.
The tenants were not home at the time. The plants were seized along with equipment used in their cultivation.
Inquiries continue to locate the tenants of the property.
