NSW: Police find car full of guns, bullets during random traffic stop

A MAN has been charged after eight firearms and a stash of ammunition were seized during a traffic stop on the Central Coast.

Officers attached to Strike Force Raptor were patrolling the M1 motorway about 5pm on Friday when they stopped a driver and searched his vehicle.

Police will allege eight firearms and ammunition were found during the search.


The 64-year-old male driver was arrested and taken to Wyong Police Station where he was charged with 11 offences, including eight counts of possessing an unauthorised firearm.

The man, from Fitzroy in Victoria, was refused bail to appear in Wyong Bail Court today.
