NSW police officer accused of serious misconduct “suspended with pay”

A POLICEWOMAN accused of misconduct after allegedly hindering an investigation and attempting to pervert the course of justice has been suspended with pay.

The 45-year-old senior constable of the New South Police Force is accused of accessing sensitive police information and providing it to another person back in 2006.

The officer, who is attached to the Northern Region, is also allegedly to have provided false information to police.


The female officer has been charged with hindering the investigation of a serious indictable offence, do act with intent to pervert the course of justice, and holder of public office misconduct.

Suspected with pay, the officer is expected to front Newcastle Local Court on Thursday 1 June.
