NSW Police officer charged after failing breath test while on-duty
A NSW Police officer will face court next month, charged after he was allegedly found to be drunk while on duty.
The constable allegedly returned a positive result when breath tested at the start of his shift on Friday 1 July 2016. A subsequent breath analysis returned a reading of 0.077.
The 25-year-old man was issued with a Future Service Court Attendance Notice for low range PCA. He is due to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 21 December.
The officer is attached to a local area command within the Central Metropolitan Region. His duty status is currently being reviewed.
