NSW police officer charged with drink driving
An off-duty police officer has been charged with drink driving on the state’s south coast.
On Monday afternoon, police were conducting stationary random breath testing on the Princes Highway at Ulladulla.
A Mitsubishi Lancer was directed to stop at the site and the driver – an off-duty 46-year-old male Senior Constable who is attached to a Southern Region Command – was breath-tested.
The breath-test returned a positive indication for alcohol, so the man was arrested and taken to Ulladulla Police Station where a breath analysis was performed. The test returned a reading of 0.093.
The man was issued with a court attendance notice for mid-range PCA and will have his licence suspended.
His court date is yet to be determined.
