NSW: Mother of little girl alone in park found

UPDATE: THE mother of a little girl found all alone at a park in Wollongong this afternoon has reportedly been found and is on her way to the local police station to pick her up.

FIRST: POLICE are seeking urgent assistance to help locate the parents of a little girl (pictured above) found alone at a park in Wollongong, south of Sydney this afternoon.

The little girl, estimated to be aged between 2 and 4, was found at a park on Darkes Road in the suburb of Dapto at 12.30pm.

Police were called and despite conducting a thorough search of the area, have been unable to locate her parents or carers.

She is described as being of olive complexion, about 100cm tall, with long brown hair, brown eyes, and wearing red jeans, a navy long sleeved dress and white velcro runners with no socks.

The girl has not been able to identify herself or her home address to officers.
