NSW: Police seek witnesses after schoolboy approached, photographed by stranger

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a young child was allegedly approached and photographed by a man outside a school in Sydney’s inner-west on Friday afternoon.

About 3.05pm, police say the eight-year-old boy had just finished school and was playing on a wall near the school on Campbell Street in Newtown when he was approached by an unknown man who appeared to be aged in his 50s.

The man allegedly took out his phone and snapped a picture of the boy and said some comments to him before taking another picture while walking away.
