NSW Priest charged with child sex attacks

A FORMER Catholic Priest has been arrested in the NSW Riverina and charged with a series of sickening child sex attacks.

It’s alleged five young male students were indecently assaulted by the man at school’s in Manly and Goulburn between 1973-76.

Police were first notified of the alleged offences in May this year and at about 9am this morning raided a Cootamundra home in the state’s Riverina and arrested a 75-year-old man.


He was taken to the local police station where he was charged with nine counts of indecent assault of a male and one count of act of indecency.

During a search of the man’s home, a number of items were seized including documents and computers.

He was granted conditional bail to re-appear at Cootamundra Local Court on Friday December 5.

Investigators encourage any victim of any indecent or sexual assault, no matter how long ago, to come forward.
