A convicted armed robber is back behind bars following a dramatic police chase on NSW’s Hume Highway.
Stephen Jamieson (pictured) allegedly used bed sheets and a pillow to escape from the maximum-security Goulburn Jail on Tuesday, sparking a massive manhunt involving helicopters and dogs.
At about 10.50pm on Tuesday police tried to pull over an allegedly stolen ute at Narellan, but it didn’t stop.

A pursuit ensued before the ute was halted by road spikes at Pheasant’s Nest.
Police say the 28-year-old tried to flee the scene, but was arrested nearby.
Jamieson has been refused bail and will appear at Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday to face charges over the escape and the pursuit.
