NSW: Sex predator arrested over assaults

POLICE have charged a man following alleged indecent and sexual assaults of two women in Lakemba.

On Tuesday 14 July 2015, a 20-year-old woman attended a business on Haldon Street, Lakemba, after replying to an advertisement for a job at a bakery on a website.

On arrival the woman met a man who allegedly indecently assaulted her, before she left the location.


She reported the incident to police and an investigation was commenced by officers from Bankstown and Campsie Local Area Command.

On Wednesday 26 August 2015, a 21-year-old woman, after applying for a job at a bakery on a website, she attended a business on Haldon Street, Lakemba.

When she arrived at the location, she was allegedly met by a 38-year-old man.

He then allegedly indecently and sexually assaulted her before she left the business and contacted police.

Officers commenced an investigation.

Yesterday (Saturday 29 August 2015), officers attended a business on Nelson Street, Fairfield and arrested a 38-year-old man.

He was taken to Campsie Police Station and was charged with sexual assault and indecent assault x2.

The man was bail refused to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 30 August 2015).

Later that day, Saturday 29 August 2015, investigators attended a business on Haldon Street, Lakemba and executed a crime scene warrant.

Inquiries are continuing.
