NSW: Taxi driver found with split eye after alleged assault
POLICE are appealing for information after a taxi driver was allegedly assaulted in Sydney’s inner-east early this morning.
About 1.50am, police say they were called to New South Head Rd, near the intersection of Glenmore Rd, at Edgecliff after reports of an injured man.
When police and paramedics arrived, they found a 39–year-old male taxi driver with a minor cut above his eye.
He was assessed by NSW Ambulance Paramedics and taken to hospital for observation.
Detectives are yet to interview the injured man to obtain a description of the of the person, or people, responsible.
