NSW: Woman charged after sawn-off shotgun, stolen motorcycles found in home

A WOMAN has been charged after a shotgun and three stolen motorcycles were found during a raid in Sydney’s south-west.

Police say they attended a home on Pegler Way at Ambarvale shortly after 11am on Friday for an unrelated matter when, while inside the home, officers located two motorcycles which were found to be stolen.

A third stolen motorcycle was reportedly found in the backyard, while a more thorough subsequent search of the property uncovered a sawn-off shotgun stuffed inside a pillowcase and several other suspected stolen items, including power tools.

A 25-year-old woman was arrested at the home and taken to Campbelltown Police Station where she was charged with two counts of possess unauthorised prohibited firearm, not keep firearm safely (prohibited firearm), and three counts of goods in custody.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court later next month.
