NSW: Women chased down and assaulted by masked, naked man

POLICE are appealing for public assistance after two women were allegedly stalked and eventually assaulted by a masked, naked man at Hornsby overnight.

About 3.45am this morning, police say two women, aged 18 and 20, got off a bus at Hornsby Railway Station and began walking through Hunter Street Mall.

The women continued walking a short distance and – police have been told in nearby May Street – a naked man pushed the 20-year-old to the ground, and grabbed the 18-year-old by her skirt.

When the women began screaming, he fled the scene.

The women were not injured in the incident.

The man has been described as being of Asian appearance, about 20 years old, and was only wearing a beanie and a white mask.

The matter was reported to officers from Kuring Gai Local Area Command who launched an investigation.

It’s believed the man may have followed the pair from Hornsby Mall.

Anyone who has information that may assist with the investigation is urged to come forward.
