A nurse has been charged with murdering eight elderly patients at long-term care facilities in Canada.
The 49-year-old faced court on Tuesday on eight counts of of first-degree murder.
Local media say the woman drugged the five women and three men in the Ontario towns of Woodstock and London between 2007 and 2014.

The victims were aged between 75 and 96.
