EMERGENCY services are working to free two people trapped in the wreckage of a massive multi-vehicle crash on the M2 motorway in Sydney’s north. [Scroll down for video]
Up to five cars and a truck are thought to have been involved in the accident which happened in eastbound lanes of the motorway between Windsor and Pennant Hills around 4.10pm.
Emergency services are on the scene working to free two people trapped in the wreckage. They are said to have serious injuries.

The eastbound lanes of the motorway have been closed to traffic while crews work to free the trapped occupants. Diversions are in place.
Two rescue helicopters have been dispatched to the scene to airlift the seriously injured to hospital.
The Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit has been tasked to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash.
