Two off-duty police officers have suffered serious injuries after being brutally assaulted during an indoor soccer match in Sydney overnight.
Two teams, one comprising of four police officers, were versing each other at the Minto Sporting Complex when a fight erupted after the police team scored a goal.
One of the members from the other team allegedly assaulted one of the off-duty officers, resulting in a brawl which left one officer suffering a suspected broken jaw and head injuries, and another officer suffering a suspected broken nose.

The pair were taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment while the other team left the scene prior to police arriving.
A full investigation into the incident is now underway.
