Officer charged with domestic violence offences

A POLICE officer has been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm following a domestic violence-related incident north of Sydney.

The 40-year-old senior constable has been identified only as being attached to a specialist command.

He’s been issued with a future Court Attendance Notice for the offences of assault causing actual bodily harm and two counts of common asasult.


The charges relate to a disturbance that allegedly took place at a house in Bonnells Bay at Lake Macquarie in July last year.

The officer is due to appear at Toronto Local Court on October 2.
