Officer suspended over alleged ‘improper sexual conduct’

A QUEENSLAND police officer has been suspended over allegations of ‘improper sexual conduct’.

The Sergeant has only been identified as being attached to the South Eastern Region.

In a statement, Queensland Police said the officer is under investigation in relation to “improper sexual conduct towards females”.

The alleged offences are said to have occurred while the officer was off-duty.

“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct,” the statement said.

“This does not mean that the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.”
