Despite the best efforts of firefighters to dampen the inferno, the house was completely destroyed.

Crews worked tirelessly to stop the spread of the blaze and save neighbouring properties.

Fortunately, no one was inside the derelict house at the time it caught fire and no one was injured.

It’s understood the property has been abandoned for several years after being sold to developers.

An investigation is now underway to determine the cause of the fire, which is being treated as suspicious.

Neighbours reportedly seen three juveniles aged between 12 and 14 running from the house.

Police are investigating the reports and are patrolling the area.
